Chef Luís Lopes
The Chef
Born in the city in 1990, he graduated from the Professional School of the Alentejo Region (EPRAL), where he was mentored by Chef Luís Mourão.
He began his career at the M'AR De AR Aqueduto hotel and, along the way, has worked in prestigious establishments such as L'AND Vineyards and Ecorkhotel, where he had his first experience as a chef. His professional career took him as far as Mozambique, where he led the kitchen of three restaurants and a 5-star hotel.
After returning to Portugal and facing the challenges of the pandemic, he took over as head chef of the Bruxa D'Évora Restaurant. In 2023, he returned to the M'AR De AR group, this time as chef de cuisine at the M'AR De AR Muralhas hotel.
With creativity and dynamism, Chef Luís Lopes reinterprets the Alentejo gastronomic tradition, enhancing regional flavors with a contemporary approach. His cuisine balances authenticity and innovation, resulting in dishes that surprise and delight, keeping the essence of the Alentejo alive.
